Meet the 2018 Needle Art Seminar Instructors:
Debbie Caffrey of Debbie’s Creative Moments from Albuquerque, New Mexico
Debbie Caffrey is a self-published author of fourteen books and dozens of patterns. She has designed and published over 250 patterns in an ever-changing line of mystery quilts. Debbie has contributed many articles to Traditional Quiltworks magazine and has made two guest appearances on HGTV’s television program, Simply Quilts, and two episodes of QNNTV.com’s Quilter’s Coffee.
Sue Spargo is a returning guest favorite. Sue first came to Grand Hotel in 2012 and we are excited to welcome Sue back! Sue is passionate about teaching her unique designs which focus on the use of textural fabrics and embellishments. Her inspiration comes from folk art from around the world and memories collected during her African childhood. Follow Sue on Instagram.
Becky Goldsmith,co-owner of Piece O’ Cake Design from Sherman, Texas
Becky Goldsmith is an award-winning quilter and author who travels to teach quilting both nationally and internationally. Becky and her business partner Linda started Piece O’ Cake in 1994 and since then have published more than 30 books and hundreds of patterns. Becky is the sole author of The Quilter’s Practical Guide to Color. Follow Becky on Instagram.
Jen Kingwell owner of Amitie Textiles shop in Gardenvale Victoria, Australia
Jen Kingwell is a quilt designer from Melbourne, Australia and owner of Amitie Textiles. Jen started Amitie Textiles in 2005 because of her love for bright, contemporary, modern and quirky fabrics. Weeks Ringle of Modern Quilt Studio in Oak Park, Illinois
Weeks Ringle and her husband Bill Kerr are professional quiltmakers and co-founders of Modern Quilt Studio, a design studio in Oak Park, Illinois. Having written the first book on Modern Quilting, Weeks and Bill are pioneers of the Modern Quilt Movement. Weeks made her first modern quilt in 1987 to rethink the possibilities of the American quilt as being expressive of the time in which we live.
Registration Information: All 2018 classes are currently full and we are no longer accepting registration forms. To be put on the wait list please contact Needle Art Coordinator Carmen Hartwig.
Current Registrant Information: All class attendees are required to stay at Grand Hotel and a hotel registration form will be provided once you have registered for your classes. Your class reservation will not be held if you do not stay at the hotel. A hotel stay is not required to attend the Lecture and Reception Monday and Wednesday nights but you do have to register for the event. If classes are full, there will be a waiting list. Please know Friday, May 11 is SOLD OUT and we are not accepting overnight reservations at this time.
