    Convention Rates at Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island

At Grand Hotel, no two rooms are alike. Each of our accommodations has been individually decorated and features a specific theme brought to life with colorful décor and furnishings. As a result, there are many different Grand Hotel room categories and rate options available, in addition to one- and two-bedroom suites — perfect for hosting and hospitality opportunities.

The convention rates listed below are based on the Modified American Plan, which includes breakfast and dinner daily.

Category I

Smaller, interior-view guest rooms

  • Double: Rates starting from $269.00 per person
  • Single: Rates starting from $463.00
Category I Guest Room

Category II

Larger, interior-view guest rooms or smaller, lake-view rooms

  • Double: Rates starting from $329.00 per person
  • Single: Rates starting from $583.00

Flat, Run-of-the-House Rate

  • Double: $329.00 per person
  • Single: $583.00

The simplified, flat rate uses guest rooms throughout the hotel from all categories, and is based upon the Modified American Plan, where breakfast and dinner are provided daily.

Children & Additional Persons

Children’s rates apply after one guest, paying the single rate occupies a guest room. The $8.50 baggage-handling fees applies to all rates below.

  • Up to 9 years: Complimentary
  • 10-17: $65.00 per night
  • 18 years and older: $149.00 per night

Meal Functions as Part of a Convention

There is no additional charge for private convention meals when served in lieu of breakfast or dinner for groups under the Modified American Plan (MAP). However, for some special entrees and all buffets, a surcharge may be assessed. Many lunch options are available at Grand Hotel. Getting to Grand Hotel

Horse-drawn carriage taxi transportation from the Mackinac Island ferry-boat docks to Grand Hotel (and return) are not included. The taxi fare is currently $5.50 per person, one way. This rate cannot be guaranteed. Grand Hotel dock porters are at Mackinac Island ferry-boat docks to meet all ferries as they arrive on Mackinac Island, as well as assist in transporting luggage to Grand Hotel. Horse-drawn carriage taxi transportation can be arranged at that time.

Tipping is neither expected nor permitted within Grand Hotel except at Astor’s Salon and Spa. Tipping is expected at the following off-site locations: Woods Restaurant, The Jockey Club at the Grand Stand, Fort Mackinac Tea Room, The Gate House, Pool Grill, and Sushi Grand.

The above rates are subject to a 19.5% added charge, 6% Michigan sales tax, 3% Mackinac Island assessment, and an $8.50 per person baggage-handling charge for the transfer and handling of baggage from Mackinac Island ferry-boat docks to Grand Hotel and the return trip.
