Join faculty, alumni and students from the Michigan State University College of Arts & Letters, the celebrated home of art, theatre, language, literature, innovation and creativity at the University, as they convene for the 24th annual weekend celebrating the arts while enjoying the splendor of Grand Hotel and Mackinac Island. Join in pre-dinner cocktail receptions, fine dining, and performances showcasing theatre and music.
Friday evening will start with a cocktail reception and dinner in the Main Dining Room, followed by musical theatre with a performance by MSU Department of Theatre students.
Saturday activities will include a guided tour of the Manoogian Art Collection led by Tatum Walker, ’13 MSU Art History alumna and visual culture and museum studies specialist; presentation and workshop titled “Dance Engine: Audience Engagement in Theatre Through Technology” and focused on the intersection of computer programming and performing arts, by Alison Dobbins, Associate Professor of Integrated Media Design and Dr. Charles Owen, Associate Professor of Computer Science. The evening will conclude with delightful A capella music by the award-winning student group, The MSU Accafellas.
