This spring, experience Grand Hotel before its landmark 140th season officially opens with our exclusive Prepare the Grand package April 24 – 30. Celebrated alongside America’s 250th anniversary and inspired by our 2026 season theme, A Season to Celebrate, this rare stay offers a behind-the-scenes look at the traditions, transformations, and timeless moments that bring Grand Hotel to life each year.

Enjoy the peaceful beauty of the island while taking part in exclusive guided tours and conversations with Dorothy Draper & Company designers Sebastian Varney and Rudy Saunders on select dates, and previewing the incredible winter updates taking place throughout the hotel. Guests are also invited to explore guest rooms as they are prepared for the season, and attend history lectures and behind-the-scenes tours on select dates with Grand Hotel’s Resident Historian Bob Tagatz.

This special pre-season experience includes accommodations and offers a relaxed and intimate stay at Grand Hotel as our team puts the finishing touches on the 2026 season. Guests will enjoy a more casual atmosphere, with casual attire welcomed throughout the hotel. A Continental Breakfast will be available for purchase at $30 each morning from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM in the Main Dining Room, Grand Coffee and Provisions will be open inside the hotel from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM to purchase coffee and light fare, and Gate House and Winchester’s Whiskey & Bourbon Room will be open for lunch and dinner.
