Breakfast and dinner daily are included in the Grand Hotel room rate of most packages, and are served in the Main Dining Room. Non-hotel guests are also welcome to enjoy breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast

Each morning from 7:30 to 9:30, breakfast is served in the Main Dining Room. It includes a wide selection of breakfast entrees, including omelettes and made-to-order eggs, hot and cold cereals, pancakes and French toast with real Michigan maple syrup, hot oatmeal, breakfast meats and salmon, fresh breads and pastries, fresh juices, fruits and more.

Continental Breakfasts are served for late risers in the Geranium Bar 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Dinner

Served between 6:30pm - 8:45pm, the dinner features a menu renowned for its range and excellence. For up to a three-night stay, each evening's dinner menu is different. To complement your meal, Grand Hotel's well-stocked cellar offers abundant choices of domestic and imported wines. Our sommelier will gladly suggest the right wine to accompany your meal. After dinner, guests are welcome in the Parlor for nightly demitasse and music performed by The Grand Hotel Orchestra. A special children's dinner program is also available each evening in the Main Dining Room. 

For overnight guests of Grand Hotel on the Modified American Plan who prefer a more casual atmosphere, dinner is available at The Jockey Club at The Grand Stand.   Also, you may choose to dine at one of our offsite restaurants, Woods, The Gate House, or Fort Mackinac Tea Room, and  receive a $20.00 per adult credit towards the food portion of your dinner bill. Tipping is suggested at these offsite Grand Hotel restaurants.

Luncheon

One of the many options for the midday meal is the legendary Grand Luncheon Buffet, which features garden-fresh salads, savory cheeses, slow-roasted meats, seafood and more than 20 varieties of fresh-baked pastries.

Main Dining Room Closings

The Main Dining Room will be closed during posted dates for certain in-house groups. Social groups will have arrangements made for them to eat elsewhere. Click here for the schedule.

Picnic Lunches

We will gladly provide Grand box lunches for an island picnic. There is an order form in each guest room or from the information desk, must be turned in by 9:00pm to the Maitre d'Hotel the evening prior.

Evening Attire

The Grand Hotel experience includes dressing for dinner. Evening wear is required in all areas of the hotel: coat and tie for gentlemen, and dresses or pantsuits for ladies.
