Opened in 2016, Sushi Grand is Mackinac Island’s first and only sushi restaurant and Grand Hotel’s fifth casual dining location. Located next to The Gate House at the bottom of Grand Hill, the menu features fresh made-to-order sushi for dine-in and take out. During Mackinac Island’s season, Sushi Grand is open daily for lunch and dinner and open to all Mackinac Island visitors. Specials created by the chef are also available daily. Enjoy a special cocktail, hot and cold sake, and other favorite beverages.

The interior is very unique. The ceiling features a hand-painted map of Asia, Japanese conical straw hat light fixtures hang over the sushi bar and highlight the overall decor of gold and red accents and black marble countertops. The walls were painted by artist Alice Bear Ludwig and feature bamboo trelliswork.
