For guests and visitors alike, the Woodlands brings to life the natural wonders and family-friendly activities that are already favorites of Mackinac Island.

Woodlands Activity Center includes a new suite of amenities and activities, including:
Pickleball court
Bike rentals
The Gem 18 hole miniature golf
Greenhouse to host activities and guided tours about the native flora on the island

The Gem Miniature Golf

A miniature golf course for the fun and fancy of it. An 18-hole miniature golf course lets the whole family get into the swing of the game. The Gem is designed to blend in with the natural surroundings of the grounds of Grand Hotel.

Miniature Golf Pricing per round:

$14 – ages 13 and older

$10 ages 12 and younger

Opening Soon - Nature Center

In keeping with our love of gardens and our pride in all things Mackinac Island, plants and flowers native to the island will be the stars of a new working greenhouse at the Woodlands Activity Center. Delight your senses by spending some rejuvenating time taking in the sights and fragrances of the greenhouse, and also expand your knowledge. An on-site naturalist will be at hand to speak about the natural flora and fauna that flourish in our timeless slice of paradise.

Visit the Secret Garden and enjoy rotating florals in a stunning display.

Recreation Courts

Give it your all on the center’s recreation courts – pickleball, bocce ball and shuffleboard set the stage for some friendly competition. The recreation courts are available to rent hourly.

Biking

With over 70 miles of natural and paved trails, Mackinac Island is the perfect place to get outdoors. Bicycles are available for rent between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM. There is a two-hour minimum rental on all bicycles.
