Children's rates apply after one guest, paying the single rate, occupies a guest room.

You are welcome to arrive as early as you wish, but we cannot promise that your accommodations will be ready before 4:00 p.m. Check out time is 11:00am. There is an added charge of 19.5% on the above rates. Michigan 6% sales tax is added to all rates, including the added charge. A charge of $6.50 per person is automatically added for the round-trip transfer of luggage from the Mackinac Island ferry docks to Grand Hotel when you arrive, and back again when you check out. Taxi transportation on Mackinac Island is NOT included in the above rates. Many organizations conduct business meetings at Grand Hotel, so it is possible that a group will also be guests in the hotel during your visit.


Tipping is neither expected nor permitted within Grand Hotel.  An additional charge is added to the daily room and meal rate.  Michigan's 6% sales tax applies to all rates and additional charges.  Tipping is suggested at the following offsite restaurant locations: The Jockey Club at the Grand Stand, Woods, The Gate House and Fort Mackinac Tea Room.
