There is an added charge of 19.5% and a 2% Mackinac Island assessment on the above rates. Michigan 6% sales tax is added to all rates, including the added charge. A charge of $7.50 per person is automatically added for the round-trip transfer of luggage from the Mackinac Island ferry docks to Grand Hotel when you arrive, and back again when you check out. Taxi transportation on Mackinac Island is NOT included in the above rates. Many organizations conduct business meetings at Grand Hotel, so it is possible that a group will also be guests in the hotel during your visit.


Tipping is neither expected nor permitted within Grand Hotel. An additional charge is added to the daily room and meal rate. Michigan 6% sales tax applies to all rates and additional charges. There is tipping at the following offsite restaurant locations: The Jockey Club at the Grand Stand, Woods, The Gate House and Fort Mackinac Tea Room.

    $10.00 per adult, $5.00 for children ages 5-11 and under 4 are complimentary.

  • Adult & child admissions redeemable at the Grand Luncheon Buffet.

  • Baggage handling charge $7.50 per person.
