The Jockey Club at The Grand Stand, first called The Snack Bar, opened in the 1950s. Carleton Varney joined Grand Hotel’s staff as the designer in 1979 and renamed The Snack Bar as The Grand Stand. In the mid 1980s, Carleton Varney added the horse theme to the restaurant and renamed it The Jockey Club at The Grand Stand.
The cozy stone building with an elegant outdoor canopy cordially invites you to a Grand experience! Located on the first tee of The Jewel, Grand Hotel’s golf course, the Jockey Club at The Grand Stand is a casual dining locale enjoyed by many. Come join us for indoor and outdoor dining.
The jockey theme is beautifully carried out in the most detailed fashion. A jockey hat light fixture intimately lights each table inside. Gallant horses stand in the paintings that line the interior walls. The outdoor canopy provides a touch of elegance to our otherwise more casual environment. Our patio serves as a grand spot for lunch, evening dinner, or cocktails!
Jockey Club’s lunch and dinner menus provide a wide range of unique options. Start off your lunch with an appetizer of warm white corn and lobster dip followed by blackened fish tacos. If you are in the mood for an American classic while on the grounds of #americassummerplace, order the grilled cheese! The brie, mozzarella, roasted mushroom, bacon, and arugula between two slices of sourdough bread will always be a favorite. The turkey and vegetable wraps never fail to please hungry travelers. Satisfy your sweet tooth by finishing up with Grand Hotel’s favorite dessert: the Grand Pecan Ball.
When dining in the evening, the menu expands, including a prix fixe menu after 5:30 p.m. By ordering the delightful chilled summer melon soup appetizer, you will be introduced to what the evening has to offer. Meat lovers might follow with the Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef or Red Deer Venison Tartare from Michigan paired perfectly with the signature Jockey Club Salad featuring Tuscan kale, brussel sprouts, marcona almonds, barrata cheese, garlic croutons, and a delicious drizzle of creole mustard vinaigrette.
Also, a NEW addition to the Jockey Club dining options is SUSHI every Friday night with a rotating sushi roll menu!
