2019 Lodging Rates
$155.00 daily, per student based on quad occupancy
$270.00 daily, per chaperone based on double occupancy
The daily student group rate includes accommodations, dinner and full breakfast. Rates are subject to 6% Michigan state sales tax and 2% Mackinac Island tourism assessment fee. There is a one-time charge for round-trip luggage transfer between the boat docks and Grand Hotel on day of arrival and return or day of departure. This luggage handling charge is currently $8.50 per person, and is in addition to the rates listed above.

Grand Luncheon Buffet
The buffet is served daily from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in our Main Dining Room. Your student/youth group will enjoy a wide variety of salads, fresh fruit and vegetables, seafood, cold cuts, hot and cold entrée selections, as well as a dessert table offering more than 20 freshly baked pastries. Beverages include milk, lemonade, iced tea, coffee and hot tea. Reservations are required a minimum of 30 days prior to arrival for student group luncheon rates to apply:
- $24.50 per child, ages 5-11 (Elementary School)
- $29.50 per youth, ages 12-17 (Middle and High School)
- $24.00 per Girl or Boy Scout in uniform
- (All luncheon rates are subject to 6% Michigan state sales tax)
The student/youth group luncheon rate remains in effect for accompanying adults provided the number of adults does not exceed a one-to-one ratio of students. Additional adults exceeding the ratio will be charged the regular adult luncheon price of $50.00 per person plus 6% Michigan state sales tax.
Since Grand Hotel is a resort, we want all guests to feel at ease and dress comfortably. During the day, casual resort clothing is appropriate. Prior to 6:30pm please no midriff baring tops, sweatpants or cut-off shorts for ladies. For gentleman no sleeveless shirts, sweatpants, or cut-off shorts.
Every evening at Grand Hotel is a special occasion. After 6:30pm, dresses, skirts, blouses, dress sweaters and dress slacks for ladies are preferred, while gentleman are required to wear a suit coat, necktie and dress pants, no denim or shorts. This applies for all areas inside the hotel with the exception of the Cupola Bar. Children 12 years and older are expected to be in dress similar to the adults.
Fort Mackinac Tea Room
Dine within the walls of historic Fort Mackinac. Serving as a sentinel in the Straits of Mackinac for over 115 years, the original restored fort is a National Historic Landmark. Admission to Fort Mackinac is additional. Luncheon, served daily in the Tea Room, includes salads, sandwiches and hot food items. Enjoy breathtaking views while dining beneath the bright yellow umbrellas of Fort Mackinac Tea Room.
