Every year we are fortunate to get many young visitors from schools around Michigan. Since Grand Hotel is a National Historical Landmark it is the perfect place to bring kids for a history lesson and the Grand Luncheon Buffett – what kid doesn’t want 220 feet of food choices? Some of the schools include Sycamore Elementary (5th graders from Dorr, MI), Endeavor Charter Academy (4th graders from Battle Creek, MI), Hopkins Elementary (3rd graders from Hopkins, MI), and Monroe St. Mary’s (7th graders from Monroe, MI) all led by Tom Byrum and his company Mackinac Here We Come. The field trip includes 3 days and 2 nights stay on Mackinac Island. Mr. Byrum has been bringing school groups to Mackinac Island for 24 years. We have received many beautiful “Thank You” cards from the children this year so we thought we’d show some of them off to you! By the way, Sean, if you read this we will definitely show you the Presidential Suite the next time you visit us.
“Thank you for the tour and the lunch. It was completely fantastic. I still can’t believe that it only took 93 days to build the hotel.”- Max W.
“Thank you so much for having us at your amazing hotel! Lunch was absolutely delicious! The tour was also very interesting. Thank you again!”- Grace H.
“I want to thank you for the awesome views of the rooms. And I also want to thank you for the buffet, filled with delicious food. P.S. The alfredo was the best”- Jade L.
“Thank you all of the people who work at the Grand Hotel. I never had such good food before” – Connor S.
