Are rates going to increase?

What can we expect for 2020 reservations?

Grand Hotel will re-open for the 2020 season on Friday, May 1, 2020. 2020 reservations are available now on our website. Starting Monday, November 4 you may also make your 2020 reservations by phone by calling our Reservations Department at 1-800-33GRAND.
I have a gift card for Grand Hotel, the Jewel golf course or one of the restaurants. Will that be honored?

Yes. All gift cards for the hotel, amenities and restaurants will be honored according to the terms.
Will I still see long-time employees of Grand Hotel?

Our dedicated employees are part of the culture and success of Grand Hotel. Many have been with us for more than 20 seasons. No reduction of staff is planned as a result of this transition. In addition to Dan Musser III remaining Chairman, key staff members will remain in place to manage the hotel.
Who will run operations at Grand Hotel?

Pivot Hotels & Resorts, the lifestyle and luxury operating division of Davidson Hotels & Resorts, will be engaged to manage the property. Dan Musser III will remain Chairman, providing leadership and guidance to the team.
Will the name change?

No. Grand Hotel has been a historic landmark and a Michigan icon since 1887. The tradition and heritage of the hotel will be honored by the new ownership.
Will any of the amenities change?

The amenities will remain the same throughout the duration of this season. KSL Capital Partners will continue to invest in the ultimate guest experience with enhancements to amenities that will complement the existing facilities and services.
Are the restaurants going to close?

The Gate House, Sushi Grand, The Jockey Club at the Grand Stand, Woods Restaurant, Sadie’s Ice Cream Parlor, and the Tea Room at Fort Mackinac will continue to deliver exceptional service and will remain operational under Grand Hotel’s new ownership.
Is Grand Hotel going to close?

Absolutely not. The combination of KSL’s investment in Grand Hotel and Davidson’s management of the property will ensure that long-time visitors and first-time guests alike will continue to enjoy the truly unique tradition, experience and family atmosphere that has made Grand Hotel what it is today.
