LANGETWINS Winery to headline Grand Hotel’s 2020 Summer Wine Weekend

LangeTwins of Acampo, California has been tapped by Michigan’s famed Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island to be the featured family winery at their annual 2020 Summer Wine Appreciation Weekend, July 10-12, according to owner and co-founder Randall Lange.

The LangeTwins will present a variety of their family wines.

“The invitation from the Grand Hotel’s Master Sommelier, Elizabeth Schweitzer was one not to refuse, and we look forward to a long weekend in Michigan’s historic hotel sampling a variety of our family wines, presenting seminars on our focus of sustainable growing and our commitment to building a multi-generational business”, says Lange.

Fourth-generation winegrowers, twins Randall and Brad Lange.

As a fourth-generation winegrower in the Lodi appellation Lange partnered with his twin brother Brad, to expand a small family farm to a significant vineyard management company growing 30 different wine grape varietals. The business took a leap in 2005, and after a hands-on career of farming vines, Randy led the design and construction efforts to build a state-of-the-art family winery. The winery completes the family’s initiative to vertically integrate their business in order to achieve complete control of grapes-to-glass. All members of the Lange family’s fifth generation are gainfully employed as leaders in either the viticulture or winery side of the business and look forward to the addition of the sixth generation in the next decade.

LangeTwins is an acknowledged leader in sustainable wine growing and regenerative agricultural practices throughout the Lodi and Clarksburg appellations. As a leader in the industry, Randy currently serves as an officer with California’s Wine Institute and has held past chairman positions with the California Winegrape Growers Association, the California Agricultural Leadership Program and was a founding member of the Lodi Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing campaign.
