You are invited to the 21st Annual Arts Weekend at Grand Hotel. Join faculty, alumni and students from the Michigan State University College of Arts and Letters, the celebrated home of art theatre, language, literature, innovation and creativity at the University, as they convene for a weekend celebrating the arts while enjoying the splendor of Grand Hotel and Mackinac Island.
Join in pre-dinner cocktail receptions, exquisite meals, MSU Department of Theatre performance of The Book of Liz, a guided tour of Mackinac Island’s Manoogian Art Collection led by Tatum Walker ‘13 (MSU Alumna and Interpretive Digital Media Specials with the Detroit Institute of Arts), and another energetic evening performance by State of Fifths – a co-ed student a cappella performance group sure to have you clapping along! This year, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a day-time presentation from 2013 Art Prize Winner, Ann Loveless ’82 (MSU Alumna). Ann is a unique quilt artist who captures the beauty of Northern Michigan in her work. It is the perfect weekend to bring out your passion for the arts! The Grand Hotel Endowed Scholarship for Arts & Letters, created by the Musser Family, supports students wishing to pursue creative endeavors both inside and outside of the classroom. A portion of your reservation fee will help support this important scholarship.
