For your listening pleasure, you’re invited to enjoy the mastery of top jazz virtuoso’s during daytime concerts in the Tea Garden and evening performances in the Theatre. Package includes evening cocktail receptions, cookout luncheon in the Tea Garden Saturday and Sunday afternoons, full breakfast and five-course dinner daily, and all entertainment.
2014 performances included Delfeayo and his father Ellis Marsalis, Jr. Delfeayo is the brother of Wynton and Branford Marsalis. Delfeayo Marsalis is one of the top jazz trombonists, composers, and producers today. The San Franciso Examiner recently said “Delfeayo is One of the most imaginative and musical trombonists of his generation.” Delfeayo and his father just released their first collaborative album with Recently, Delfeayo and the Marsalis family (father Ellis and brothers Branford, Wynton, and Jason) earned the nation’s highest jazz honor – a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters Award.
This year we also welcomed French Vocalist, Cyrille Aimee’ . Cyrille’s first label release “It’s a good day” came out this past year featuring her music vision of bass, drums, and three guitars: gypsy, jazz, and Brazilian. She is a well known Jazz singer who has won many vocal awards. Her hybrid of influences is fresh and enlivening.
Every year we are proud to welcome Michigan Clarinetist Dave Bennett. Dave has performed in over 35 U.S. States and Canada. He just made his first Carnegie Hall debut in November 2013. Dave’s music reflects a mature personal style that evokes a fortuitous, and unique blending of the sounds inspired by his two idols: Benny Goodman and Pete Fountain.
