Labor Day Jazz Festival

Three days and nights of music, food, and family fun is nearly upon us with the 25th Annual Labor Day Jazz Festival.  Festivities begin with   Wynton Marsalis performing in the Theatre beginning promptly at 9:30 pm.  This concert is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 1-800-334-7263.

Evening entertainment continues Friday with Alex Graham and the Grand Hotel Orchestra in the Terrace Room at 10:30, Kathy Kosins at the Jockey Club and Paul Keller in the Cupola at 11:00.

Saturday’s cookout luncheon concert in the Tea Garden will be hopping with The Preservation Hall Jazz Band.  Evening concerts include Tierney Sutton in the Theatre, Bob Baldori and Bob Seeley at the Jockey Club, and Paul Keller once again in the Cupola.

The fun continues on Sunday morning with a Front Porch Gospel Program by Ruthie Foster, followed with a cookout luncheon and Diane Shuur.  Evening entertainment is sure to be “Grand” with Dave Bennett in the Theatre, Ruthie Foster at the Jockey Club and Paul Keller in the Cupola.

It is going to be a jazz filled weekend for sure.  All concerts are open to the public and tickets are required for the evening Theatre concert with Winton Marsalis as well as the cookout luncheons.  Click here for a full weekend schedule of events, we hope to see you there!
