Grand Hotel will offer group tours occupying a minimum of 15 paid rooms at
the regular group tour rate one room at a special rate of $75.00 per person daily, based
on single or double occupancy. Groups occupying 25 or more paid rooms at the
regular group tour rate will receive a second room at the special $75.00 per
person daily rate.
All of the above MAP (Modified American Plan), FAP (Full American Plan) and
Special Group Tour Rates are NET, non-commissionable, and are subject to a 19.5%
added charge. The rate plus the added charge are subject to Michigan State
Sales Tax (currently 6%). Grand Hotel operates on a "NO TIPPING" policy, and tipping
to any Grand Hotel employee is not expected, permitted, or required. There is a
one time round trip luggage handling fee of $6.50 per person to move luggage from the
dock to your Grand Hotel guest room on arrival and return on day of departure.
Deposits:
Grand Hotel requires the following deposits for each overnight group room
block of 30 rooms or less:
- $100 Payable at the time of confirmation. Rooms will not be held until Grand Hotel receives deposit and signed confirmation.
- $500 Additional deposit is required ninety (90) days prior to your scheduled arrival.
- $2000 Additional deposit, along with your group's rooming
list is required twenty-four (24) days prior to your group's date of
arrival.
If deposits and rooming lists are not received when required, Grand
Hotel reserves the right to release all accommodations and services held.
All deposits once received are non-refundable and
non-transferable.
Transportation to and from Grand Hotel is not included in the room and meal
rates above. Grand Hotel's Group Tour Manager, Julie Luckey will assist tour planners seeking
to book ferry service to and from Mackinac Island, and once on the island,
horse-drawn taxi transfers to Grand Hotel as well as the two-hour horse-drawn
island carriage tour. Transportation rates for these services cannot be
guaranteed by Grand Hotel.
Grand Luncheon Buffet and Self-guided Tour:
Our special adult group
rate for the Grand Luncheon Buffet and self-guided tour is $39.00 per person, inclusive
of tax and gratuity with advance reservation. One complimentary ticket is provided to groups with a
minimum of 30 adults, paying the $39.00 rate. Student groups and Girl and Boy Scout
Troops are asked to call our Group Tour Manager at (906)-847-3331 for youth
group rates.
Dress Policy
Casual resort attire is appropriate during the day at Grand Hotel, however,
no tank tops, halter tops, or cut-off shorts are permitted. After 6:00 p.m.,
gentlemen are required to wear coat and necktie while ladies dress in their
finest. |
